Stamp: The World Is Not A Perfect Place by KrisTheTrashLord Stamp: The World Is Not A Perfect Place by KrisTheTrashLord
What I see far too often: "The USA was founded of genocide, oppression, and institutionalized injustice."

Guess where else was founded on genocide, oppression, and institutionalized injustice? The rest of the world.
Guess where else was founded on stolen land and genocide of the indigenous people? The rest of the Americas [and Australia and New Zealand and possible anywhere else]
Guess where else went into stupid wars, civil or with another country? The rest of the world.

At least here in America and in most parts of the world, you get free speech, so you can say whatever the hell you want. Take it from me, I did a stamp earlier about the US and how it is not the center of the world. Look I didn't get arrested.
I'm not saying that you shouldn't complain about the injustice in the country, but I'm just saying that the rest of the world is* not any better. That doesn't mean that we don't listen to them as they give us advice on improving. They can be voice of reason. We can, too. Anyone can.

Sorry guys, I spilled the beans. Other countries are far from perfect after all. Whoops ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

EDIT: grammar mistakes

We've all got bloodstains in our history. But we've got to forgive each other for what has happened in the past, but do not forget what has happened so we don't repeat it.

I can name one near genocide and two mass executions.

1. The Marian Persecutions, which involved the mass executing of Protestants, which included burning, beheading and hanging. It lasted from 1555 to 1558, under the reign of Mary I of England. (Death toll: 312) Some notable victims were Thomas Crammer, Lady Jane Grey and Lord Guilford Dudley.

2. The Elizabethan Persecutions, which was similar to the Marian Persecutions, but it was Catholics who were being executions by the hundreds. It lasted from 1559 to 1603, under the reign of Elizabeth I of England (Death Toll: Est. 500) Some notable victims were Mary, Queen of Scots, Catherine Grey, Saint Margaret Clitherow, Saint John Haughton, Saint Anne Line, Saint Margaret Ward and thirty six other saints. (For the others, all you have to do is search up "The Forty Martyrs of England and Wales.")

3. Armenian Genocide, which including the drowning, poisoning, overdosing, starving and rape of the Armenian people, it lasted from 1894 to 1918.
(Death toll: 1.5 million.)

Damn, what is with us and killing each other?

Nice job on the research! You know, referring to the Armenian Genocide, I was told that it didn't happen and that the deaths were from warfare and the person who told me used sources from Turkey to prove that the Armenian Genocide didn't happen and that the Armenians were the aggressors. I told him to fuck off with several sources from universities (.edu).

www.youtube.com/watch?v=75F5Ra… I found this rhyme that's shows how much we like to invade and kill each other. It's childish, but it's pretty much true.

Yes, the near successful genocide of the Native Americans. There are fewer Native Americans today than before.

Disease (what killed most of the natives) is genocide?

The European colonizers intentionally brought diseases, such as smallpox, to the Native population. That is considered biological warfare.

:icondsim64:

It was sometimes used as biowarfare but that wasn't the grand scheme of things.

But that's how the majority of Native Americans died. The Native Americans today survived the disease, but they live in endless poverty because huge chunks of their land have been taken away.

Eh, every country in the world has its splotches in history. But hey, that isn't our fault. We can't control what those before us did. However, we CAN change the future.

Oh no. I hate it when my mom's friends see my posts on FB and they tell my mom what I post. I'm not posting anything provocative (well, it is for them) like gore or extreme views.

You know this whole "war on Christmas" bullshit that comes around every Christmas? Well, one of my mom's friends posted that we must say "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Holidays" because apparently only Christmas is celebrated in the Winter Solstice. I told her that Christmas isn't the only holiday at that time and she called my mom to yell at me because I disagreed with her.

I wish a lot of people have this way of thinking.

Yes, you can still be proud of being Russian, American, British, etc. but at least you need to admit that your country has done a lot of bad things.

And I say this as an American. We treated the native Americans like shit. They still live in third world country conditions to this day.
